Happy Talk

If you want to sway opinion or enlist others in a cause, any dime-store chatbot will advocate talk that foments paranoia, fear, and hatred. But we’re humans and not ruled by unfeeling machines. And is that really the way you want to live your life?

Ragespeak is all the angry rhetoric we hear today, especially in our political theatre. But like fashion, communication goes in cycles. We predict this wrathful bleating will run its course. Step out front and explore ways to speak through a brighter lens.

When you do, you’ll feel better. Speaking positively influences brain chemistry and thought patterns. And what about audiences? Don’t you appreciate listening to a bright, forward-thinking speaker who enjoys their work and solving problems with gusto? When creating your next presentation, don’t avoid straight talk, but embrace your inner strength, and speak to others’ better angels. As President John F. Kennedy said, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” Be the tide.
