Remember our recent Eloqui tip No One Else’s Word about vetting evidence? Michael Cohen’s attorney David Schwartz (former fixer/attorney for Trump) is accused of citing three court cases to support ending his client’s supervised release. Judge Jesse Furman stated that it appears “none of these cases exist.”

It is alleged that Schwartz used an off-the-rack version of ChatGPT. We hope he doesn’t blame ChatGPT. Information aggregators are only as smart as their programmers. And any professional should take the time and effort to confirm the validity of their information and the source.

When delivering your presentations, make sure your facts are indeed true. Alternative facts are concocted untruths. Colorful stories may be constructed with false narratives. And while twisting the truth or downright lying may be salutary in the short run, truth eventually tends to expose the lie.

For speakers, delivering a lie demands theatricality to sell it. But truth gives you strength, and allows you to speak with certainty and conviction. May your hearts be warmed and your minds be sharpened this holiday season.
